Dave Lindstrom, Senior Counsel
After 44 years of serving YMCAs and not-for-profit organizations throughout the country and abroad, Dave Lindstrom, President of Campaign Consultants of America and Executive Vice President for Jeffrey Byrne & Associates, Inc., retired from JB&A on July 1, 2004. Dave has served as campaign director, campaign counsel and managed every aspect of capital campaigns for over 60 organizations (including over 40 YMCAs) in 24 states during his long and distinguished career. Dave will continue to serve as Senior Counsel for the organization and will be available to YMCAs for feasibility studies and financial development training.

Dave’s work within the YMCA family began early in his career. From 1960-61 Dave was a YMCA Student World Service Worker in Istanbul, Turkey where he was program director in a large, old facility. Managing one of two gymnasia in Istanbul, Dave taught English classes, managed a tourist hostel and directed the only summer camp in the country.
The years that followed saw Dave fill many positions as one of the most successful fundraising consultants in the country. Continuously recognized for his outstanding service, Dave was ranked among the best of fundraising consultants by YMCAs where he worked. As the Campaign Director for the YMCA of the USA’s fundraising division in Chicago, Dave conducted feasibility studies and capital campaigns raising over $7 million dollars and exceeding all campaign goals.

A graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and minor degrees in speech and philosophy, David’s graduate study was at the Chicago Theological Seminary and the University of Chicago where he completed all but a thesis toward a Bachelor of Divinity degree (now known as doctor of ministry). His study emphases included theology, sociology and bureaucracy.
