Giving
USA 2008 will be presented by Dr. Patrick M. Rooney, director
of
research for the Center on Philanthropy. Dr. Rooney will provide
information to help you identify which audiences to target, what
changes in giving patterns you should anticipate and the impact crisis
giving has had on the sector.
In addition, a review of nonprofit revenue trends in Kansas City, based
on the DonorEdge data, will be presented.
Relying on hard data gleaned from Internal Revenue Service filings, the
Giving USA report examines the level of giving by donor groups, as well
as changes in patterns of giving among the various nonprofit sectors. A
clear understanding of the latest giving figures, as well as insight
into the implications they raise, will assist nonprofit professionals
in communicating with donors and volunteers and in their overall
development plans.
Attendance is free, but
registration is required. Priority registration
for nonprofit organizations with a Check Mark-reviewed DonorEdge
profile.
Board members are encouraged to
attend.
