in its campaign to create a Heartland Harvest
Garden and important educational programs
at the Gardens in Kingsville, Missouri.
Powell Gardens is a private, not-for-profit
organization located just east of Kansas
City, Missouri, with the mission of inspiring
people to appreciate, beautify and conserve
our natural environment. The Gardens’
peaceful setting on 915 acres provides opportunities
for learning and reflection through a year-round
education program, research and special
events.
The Heartland Harvest Garden will create
a place for children of all ages and include
classrooms for educational purposes, spaces
for exploring, and gardens for learning.
The Heartland Harvest Garden is one of the
most progressive gardens under construction
in the world right now.
Powell Gardens' $8.5 million campaign will
create more than just a vegetable garden.
It will create a place where people can
understand the progression of food from
seed to plate.
