Inc. is proud to have partnered with Lake
Regional Hospital Foundation in its campaign
to build a cancer treatment center providing
radiation therapy for Lake Regional Health
System in Osage Beach, Missouri.
When families were stricken by cancer in
Osage Beach and the surrounding communities,
the hardships surrounding the disease were
magnified by the nearly 100 mile round-trip
to the nearest cancer center. An overwhelming
desire to bring healing treatment closer
to home led to a 9-month capital campaign
led by Lake Regional Hospital Foundation.
A campaign that started in March 2002 was
capped with the completion of the Radiation
Therapy Center in May 2004. Contributions
totaling $3.7 million exceeded the original
goal of $3.2 milliion.
Today, Lake Regional Hospital provides
full-continuum treatment for cancer patients
in the Lake area. The comforts of home and
familiar surroundings aid in the recovery
process those battling the disease. The
communities of the Lake area will benefit
for years to come thanks to the generosity
and hard work of local residents and community
leaders.
